I’m Thomas van Noppen

Was born in Gouda the Netherlands. Ever since I was a kid, my passion has always been design and creative works in general. I’ve transited from traditional art to digital world. My core focus now is UX/UI design, Graphic design, marketing and web design.

Education

After I finished high school in 2012, I started my education in graphic and media design at ‘’ Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam’’. There I learned to create visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner.

After finishing this study in 2016 I went to the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Here i study designing meaningful interactive products and services for people and companies.

Experience

I have always been interested in design and creation in the widest sense of the word. Graphic design, illustration, photography, animation, videography etc. I got to work with all these forms of design and creation in various different companies and studies. During my time there I got to improve, adjust and create many works and learn from each and every experience.

I learned to look critically at my work, actions, prototypes, testing, failing, redesigning, adjusting, etc. I have always had a heavy focus on teamwork and learned me what it means to be useful in a team. Clear communication, focus on empathetic ability, being helpful, being able to adjust and listening to different points of view. This knowledge makes me a better team player.

Right now I have about 8 years of experience with design, and I am looking forward to many more years.

Traveling Expanding my horizon

I love to travel independently. Stepping into a completely new world that may be well out of my comfort zone gives me a feeling of freedom and creates new perspectives. Travel is a great way for me to immerse myself in the cultural diversity that exists in the world. All the new points of view, perspectives and experiences also have a great positive influence on my work. The different ways of doing things around the word allow me to see art, culture, communication and the world in general in a whole new way. Travel also gave me many friends across the world and showed me how much I can still learn.

Expertises

During my various studies and work experiences, I got to improve my knowledge of software and learn how to use them effectively. These tools allow me to turn ideas and concepts into reality.
